Fisherman’s Bend, a 485-hectare post-industrial urban renewal site near Melbourne, Australia’s central business district, offers unprecedented economic redevelopment opportunities with multiple interconnected challenges. Multiple factors encumber this low-lying site including development pressures, limited public transportation, contamination, geotechnical issues, inadequate drainage infrastructure, infiltration capacity, and cultural heritage.
