Autobiographies of the question

Abstract

This chapter takes Jane Miller’s concept of the ‘autobiography of the question’ as a prompt for each of us to reflect on our autobiographies and why we have been motivated to participate in this project. We not only offer accounts of our work as educators and researchers but dwell on the contingencies of our lives that have variously shaped our views about the value of literature. The chapter conveys the standpoints from which we entered into dialogue with the early career teachers who participated in our research project.
