What Is the Literature Telling Us About Economic Evaluation in Oral Health

Abstract

This chapter aims to assemble, review, and summarize the information available from the literature on the methodological quality of published economic evaluations (EE) in oral health. Systematic and scoping review was included to structure the EE evidence in oral health. The chapter is organized in three parts. The first part will provide a descriptive review into what the study is reporting. The second part focuses on what the literature in the field is reporting by summarizing their conclusions about the overall quality of the research conducted and identify and summarize major gaps in knowledge in the field.
