Abstract

I broke down the title - When I am not there - to find some of the subtexts to the work. There were multiple entry points into the work but this seemed the most appropriate at the time. Given this was an informal and brief event I utilised texts by Luce Irigarary, Zoe Theodore (from the catalogue for the project where she discusses the somatic and semiotic) and Georgia Sagri approach to highly charged performance work.
