Australian Standards for Protective Gloves

Abstract

The current Standards Australia International Limited body was a founding member of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and has developed many occupational glove standards of national interest. Most notably, Australian and New Zealand standards on occupational protective gloves have evolved into AS/NZS 2161, which address issues as they relate to (1) selection, use, and maintenance, (2) standardized testing requirements, and (3) protection against various chemical, physical, and biological hazards.
