Creating inclusive online learning for business students with disabilities

Abstract

Universal design for learning (UDI) provides a framework for creating learning environments with greater accessibility for all students, including those with disabilities. This chapter discusses the application of UDI as a framework for teaching business courses online. A brief introduction to UDI is presented together with examples of implementation within university settings. The nine principles of UDI are detailed together with suggestions for business educators. Useful resources for those wishing to explore the topic further are also offered.
