Abstract Background The engagement of men is essential to improving the sexual and reproductive health and rights for everyone. Effective male engagement includes increasing the availability and uptake of male family planning methods (vasectomy, male condoms and some natural family planning). The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (Timor-Leste) has some of the most critical sexual and reproductive health challenges in the Asia-Pacific region, including low uptake of male family planning methods.
