Abstract

In 2014, Vicente Molina Foix and Luis Cremades published an autobiographical work titled "El invitado amargo" ("The Bitter Guest"), in which each author recalls the emotional and social twists of their romantic relationship from three decades earlier, between 1981 and 1982. By using the letters they exchanged at the time in both a documentary and interpretative way, the authors reconstruct not only their own relationship but also a complex network of friendships, rivalries, and jealousies involving other writers, poets, and artists of that era.
