Abstract
Introduction and Objective: In people with T1D, ingestion of fast-absorbing protein potently stimulates glucagon secretion and can effectively increase endogenous glucose production. The study characterizes the glucose responses to whey protein ingestion in adults with T1D, which will inform future research into using whey protein to manage hypoglycemia.
