Abstract
This chapter examines connections between the home and the city by highlighting how meaning-making about home takes place outside the normative material house. That kind of house is often understood as the house-as-home frequently associated with the ownership of a physical place where one resides. But here, I depart from those understandings. Instead, I offer a relational reading based on an ontological positioning that allows me to explore the multi-scalar, multi-sited, processual, porous and performative home-or what I call the ‘home-urban’.
