She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Dopplegänger

Abstract

This chapter focuses on She-Hulk as an alter ego doppelgänger. While this Marvel character dates back to her inaugural appearance in the 1979 comic The Savage She-Hulk #1, She-Hulk has appeared in a broad range of comics as well as in video games and on screen in animated series including The Incredible Hulk (1982), Fantastic Four (1994), The Superhero Squad Show (2009–2011), and Hulk and The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. (2013–2015). While there have been several mooted live-action productions, it took until 2022 for this to manifest as Disney’s nine-episode series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
