The GENSIMO Platform for Social Insurance Scheme Modelling and Systematic Policy Experimentation

Abstract

We present the gensimo platform for social insurance scheme modelling. After laying out the agent-based architecture of the platform, we discuss the various agent processes in some detail. Then we discuss several ways gensimo can be used to run simulations and how the results can be visualised. In particular, we discuss how gensimo can be used for exploratory modelling of the ‘policy space’, in contrast to simulating a small number of isolated policy settings.
