A metallosupramolecular capsule with the topology of the tetrahedron, 33, assembled from four guanidine-based ligands and twelve cadmium centers

Abstract

A sealed off capsule of composition [M12(ligand)4] containing a trapped Et4N+ ion has the topology of the tetrahedron in which the four nodes are provided by guanidine-based ligands and the six node-to-node connections are provided by pairs of metal centers (see picture).
