Dynamic channel assignment schemes using neural networks

The introduction of dynamic channel assignment in cellular systems has become imminent. Unfortunately, the best dynamic channel assignment schemes involve intensive computations. If they can be implemented on neural networks, then the computational complexity can be reduced. In this chapter, we compare the performance of four different neural networks that have been proposed to implement three different dynamic channel assignment schemes for a cellular system. Each approach is carefully explained and its strengths and drawbacks noted.
