Using Avecia's Minchem copper solvent extraction process modeling program for education

Abstract
As a leader in the development of metal extraction technology, Avecia continues to pioneer advancements for the processing of copper through leach, solvent extraction, and electrowinning of copper. From the initial patent of the second generation of oxime 5-nonylsalicylaldoxime in the 1970's; to the effective use of modifier technology; and development of computer assisted modeling programs, Avecia is driving SX technology to maximize extraction productivity.
