Yersinia enterocolitica biotype 1A: Not as harmless as you think

ConclusionsWe have used subtractive hybridisation to identify genomic sequences in a clinical biotype 1A isolate that are absent from a non-clinical biotype 1A strain. We are currently investigating whether these differences contribute to the virulence of the biotype 1A strain.
