Abstract

The impact of leadership and team practices on project time cycles is studied in 56 Fortune 500 capital projects in the process industries. Key management practices that drive speed differ according to the temporal stage of the project. Differentiated sets of practices used at different project phases are identified to assist companies to significantly reduce project schedules.
