Abstract
The lattice spacing of LaB6 standard powder samples was analyzed using x-ray extended range technique. The measurements were carried over 5 keV to 20 keV energy range which used powder diffraction to determine synchrotron beam energy, diagnose discrepancies in nominal calibrated beam energies and determine beam energy bandwidths. This technique yielded results independent of energy-dependent systematics. The results show accurate determination of lattice spacing of NIST SRM 660 LaB6 standard powder.
