Abstract
11.1. AbstractThe technique of time-resolved evanescent wave-induced fluorescence spectroscopy (TR-EWIFS) has been extended to incorporate fluorescence anisotropy measurements. We report on the application of these time-resolved evanescent wave-induced fluorescence anisotropy measurements (EW-TRAMs) as a source of information concerning the motion and conformational changes of macromolecules that can occur near a solid/liquid interface. We have applied EW-TRAMs to studies of the adsorption of proteins and polymers onto silica from solution.
