Fenestrated urethral catheter to aid anastomotic drainage after radical prostatectomy

Abstract

A simple technique using a fenestrated urethral catheter to assist in drainage of pericatheter urethral exudates from the anastomosis of the urethra to the bladder neck in radical prostatectomy is described. It is applicable to open and laparoscopic techniques of radical prostatectomy. © 2005 Elsevier Inc.
