Abstract

Adolescence is a highly dynamic period of human development that brings major changes in health outcomes (e.g. mental health, overweight, and obesity), health risks (e.g. diet, physical activity, substance use) and the social determinants of health (e.g. education). Prioritising adolescent health is increasingly appreciated to yield a triple dividend through advancing health and well‐being during adolescence, achieving healthier trajectories into adulthood, and laying the foundations of optimal health for the next generation.
