Abstract

This article reviews findings from inter-disciplinary research into a range of sensitive social health issues and discusses the implications for drama educators when they set out to counter the possible negative effects associated with the stereotyping, glamorising or normalising of risk behaviours. Recommendations include a focus on the use of protective distancing and the employment of anti-naturalistic techniques to engender multiple perspectives through the drama.
