Supercritical water gasification of sewage sludge

Abstract

A computer model which estimates product compositions at equilibrium reaction has been developed. The model applied Gibbs free energy minimization technique and a predictor algorithm (also called RAND algorithm). Peng-Robinson equation of state (EoS) was employed in order to determine fugacity coefficients of species considered in the model. The developed model was tested against various reported experimental data of glucose, pyrocatechol and cornstarch in supercritical water gasification (SCWG) process.
