Abstract

The template synthesis of nanoporous protein particles (NPP) through sequential solution assembly of biomacromolecules in MS spheres, was described. The biological activity of the NPP was also examined. It was demonstrated that the method could be applied to MS materials with fiber morphologies. It was shown that the technique provided a simple pathway to immobilize and stabilize proteins in porous matrices through the formation of protein networks that are bridged by PE.
