Abstract

This paper presents the results of an experimental study and the analytical modelling performed to investigate the localised response of steel fibre ultra high strength concrete with compressive strengths greater than 170MPa, subjected to high velocity impact by fragment simulated projectiles (FSP) at velocities ranging from ∼700 to 1000 m/s. The steel fibre reinforced ultra high-strength concrete used in this study is commercialised under the name of "Ductal" by VSL Australia Pty. Ltd.
