Abstract
Optimal resource allocation for pilot symbol aided multiuser receivers in Rayleigh faded CDMA channels was studied. The linear minimum mean-squared-error (LMMSE) channel estimation was also derived and analyzed. The average signal-to-interference ratio was numerically optimized and results were presented to illustrate the optimal rate of inserting pilot symbols for a range of system parameters.
