Abstract

In this chapter, we have introduced a new buzzword: Sensor Web in the research and academic community of sensor and sensor networks. There are a lot of efforts that aim to provide middleware support to the sensor development. Among those, the most important one is OGC's SWE standard that standardises the vision of Sensor Web. SensorML, O&M, SCS, SPS and WNS together, to create an integration platform to register, discover and access anonymous and heterogeneous sensors distributed all over the world through internet. A service oriented Sensor Web framework named Open Sensor Web Architecture (OSWA) has been discussed along with the design implementation of the core services targeting the senso..
