Abstract

Amyloid fibrils offer great potential as nano-materials. Functionalised fibrils assembled from peptides coupled to bioactive ligands interact specifically with cells compared to non-functionalized fibrils, suggesting that these fibrils are also promising bio-scaffolds. © 2006 IEEE.
