Abstract
The Trenerry Crescent Pedestrian Bridge, located at the start (city end) of Melbourne's Eastern Freeway, connects the two suburbs of Abbotsford and Clifton Hill which are split by the freeway. The bridge deck is a concrete T-shaped box girder simply supported over four spans. The pedestrian-induced vibration characteristics of this pedestrian bridge were investigated from the acceleration response records captured on several separate days for a number of different pedestrian scenarios. The Randec technique and the Sub Space Iteration technique, as implemented in the program ARTeMIS, were adopted for investigating the first few primary modes of vibration. This paper reports on the results obt..
