Sampling and Inspection for Monitoring Threats to Homeland Security

Abstract

In this paper, we describe a simple mathematical model for identifying an appropriate sample size for surveillance programs for monitoring threats to homeland security associated with “objects” passing an inspection point—typically a port of entry.
