Electronic tendering adoption in Oman construction industry

Abstract

Electronic system is becoming an important tool in project procurement process. This study investigates the potential that Omani construction industry stakeholders' would adopt and participate in electronic tendering (e-tendering) when it is introduced by the government. Using a postal questionnaire survey, the opinions of different industry stakeholders - consultants, contractors, suppliers and clients were assessed regarding their satisfaction with the traditional paper-based tendering.
