Abstract
A new synthetic method for polynuclear lanthanoid complexes that are embedded in molecular polyoxotungstates has afforded the highest nuclearity polyoxometalate-encapsulated Gd complex and the first decanuclear Yb complex of any sort to be structurally characterized. © The Royal Society of Chemistry.
