Abstract

In contemporary western democracies there is a constant celebration of cultural diversity. Yet the difficulties of difference keep asserting themselves. This is only too clear in the domain of work and migration. The questions of diversity and difference cannot be uncoupled from each other because they both constitute crucial elements of the same discourse, especially with reference to migration and work.
