Development control within catchments

Abstract

Effective urban planning policy and decision guidelines are required to ensure the protection of water quality, and to guide local planning decisions where a conflict of interest may exist. This paper analyses some landmark cases where the Water Authority had to fight to exercise its right to protect its source of supply.
