Abstract

We describe the fabrication of low-loss, highly flexible silica fibre nanowires which are used to characterise chalcogenide two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguide circuits and nanocavities. Localised coupling is achieved in good agreement with theory. Crown Copyright © 2007.
