Interorganisational systems (IOS) are seen to play a significant role in enabling organisations around the world to extend their supply chain and to engage in global trading efficiently and effectively regardless of their geographical locations. Existing studies have considered a small unit of analysis in applying the process approach to investigate IOS adoption in developing countries. Therefore, this study explores IOS adoption in Bahrain as an example of a developing country.
