Abstract
This chapter aims to enhance the understanding of the relationship between intragroup conflict and group outcomes. Studying punk bands offers similarities and differences to prior research which will allow for a more exhaustive consideration of conflict and group outcomes. The chapter examines conflict in a relatively unstudied work context—a work environment involving creativity and performance/psychomotor tasks. The process of conceiving new ideas for artistic expression through music and conveying those ideas to an audience may present several challenges to knowledge-base regarding conflict and performance.
