Abstract
Some of the views and responses from the FIA researchers and practitioners of the flow injection analysis and its related techniques are discussed. Gary D. Christian's first FIA work was with his student, Tim Kelly, and his first publication was 'Fluorometer for Flow Injection Analysis with Application to Oxidase Enzyme Dependent Reactions.' Alan Townshend recalls that FIA was introduced into his research program while he was a lecturer at Birmingham University. According to him, FIA proved ideal for monitoring chemiluminescent reactions, which required isolation from ambient light, and also for the use of solid phase reagents, especially immobilized enzymes. Bo Karlberg confirms that this t..
