Abstract
This study presents an analysis of the electrokinetic development length of electroviscous ow through a slit-like contraction. The effect of contraction ratio, electric double-layer thickness and wall surface charge on the electrokinetic development length of electroviscous flow is quanti fied. An order of magnitude expression for the electrokinetic development length is derived. © Austral. Mathematical Soc. 2011.
