Abstract
In this paper we introduce the CSIRO hyper-spectral ionoluminescence system for mapping minerals and fluid inclusion complexes. Both hardware and software aspects of the system are described in detail and illustrated by way of example on two naturally occurring mineral assemblages containing quartz veins, the most common host for fluid inclusion studies. Advantages and disadvantages of the approach are discussed, and in light of these future plans are briefly summarized.
