Taking HSCs down a Notch in leukemia

Abstract

The Notch signaling pathway is activated in the majority of T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias (T-ALL). Adding to the complexity of Notch signaling in hematopoiesis, recently in Nature, Klinakis et al. (2011) demonstrate a tumor-suppressor function for the Notch pathway in myeloid malignancy. © 2011 Elsevier Inc.
