A hybrid incomplete exponential sum with application to aperiodic hamming correlation of some frequency-hopping sequences

Abstract

In this paper, an upper bound for a hybrid incomplete exponential sum over finite fields is derived. This bound is then used to obtain lower and upper bounds for aperiodic Hamming correlation of frequency-hopping sequences based on power functions. © 1963-2012 IEEE.
