Abstract
We report the first x-ray images of a simple phase object using a new technique of differential phase-contrast imaging. The image contrast is obtained by resolving phase gradients in a beam of 0.154 nm x rays using diffraction from a perfect crystal analyzer. The contrast variations in the images are explained using dynamical x-ray diffraction theory. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
