AS GUEST editors, it is our pleasure to introduce this ninth joint “Special Issue on Microwave Photonics” of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques and the Journal of Lightwave Technology. As with the previous special issues that have been devoted to this subject, these papers will be made available to subscribers of both this Transactions and the Journal of Lightwave Technology.
