Conversion of polarization state to visible color by anisotropic plasmonic cross antenna arrays

Abstract

We demonstrate a plasmonic device that maps the polarization state of light to visible color. Simulations and experiments confirm that varying the illuminating polarization results in marked differences in the chromaticity of the transmitted light. © 2011 OSA.
