Abstract
498 Background: The role of primary tumor resection in patients presenting with mCRC remains controversial. While recent data suggest resection of the primary tumor is unnecessary with modern systemic therapies, other series indicate that non-operative intervention may be associated with inferior survival outcomes. We aimed to evaluate the Australian approach to primary tumor resection in patients with mCRC and to explore its impact on survival outcomes.
