Abstract
Unidirectional mixed lymphocyte reactions (MLR) were performed in quadruplicate on 36 recipient-cadaver-donor pairs prior to renal allografting. The MLR response was measured in both directions by incorporation of 3H-thymidine, i.e., both recipient and donor response and the results were expressed as mean counts per minute (cpm). The average and standard deviation of the mean cpm in both the rejection and nonrejection groups were calculated for each time period.
