Understanding Usage of an Internet Based Information Resource for Teachers: The Assessment Resource Banks

Abstract
The Assessment Resource Banks (ARBs) are a collection of assessment resources classified to reflect the New Zealand mathematics, science, and English curricula and are available as an electronic resource via the World Wide Web. The search engine allows teachers to select assessment material to match curriculum and teaching objectives and to download them for school-based assessment purposes. This paper reports on the evaluation of the school-based uses of ARBs and interprets the pattern and level of use within the context of the literature on web-based information resource usage.
