Abstract
One of the recently proposed super-resolution microscopy techniques is structured illumination microscopy (SIM), where a fine grating is projected onto the sample, and the final image is reconstructed from a set of images taken at different grating positions. With this technique, resolution improvement by a factor of two can be achieved compared to conventional wide-field imaging without the need for pulsed lasers, scanning or special properties of the fluorophores. The latest results in the application of this technique to image different subcellular structures at high resolution will be presented. © 2011 IEEE.
