Abstract
© 2014 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim. A new technology for high temperature superconducting Josephson tunnelling junctions is developed to enhance their properties for applications on-a-chip, avoiding additional fabrication complexity. Junctions with alternating nano-layers of YBa2Cu3O7 and NdBa2Cu3O7 superconductors with a small mismatch between their crystal lattices exhibit stronger tunneling properties due to tuning the artificial grain boundary interfaces of the junctions.
